An arrest has been made following a spate of burglaries which has seen businesses’ windows smashed and items stolen. A 33-year-old man was detained yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, August 13) on suspicion of burglary. Officers had been investigating the recent spate of burglaries in Newark and Retford town centres, which were being treated as linked and the work of a single offender.
