Two Russian TU-142 military aircraft were detected and monitored Friday by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) as they flew within the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). The Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter American or Canadian territory.
