Airbnb is to pay €576 million ($621 million) to the Italian authorities in order to end a long-running tax dispute. The Italians accused the company of failing to pay a tax on short-term rentals for a span of five years. The agreement between Airbnb and the Italian authorities covers the years 2017 to 2021, the holiday rental platform said on Wednesday.
