A South Jersey man has been sentenced to 34 years in prison for the killing of his friend and the friend’s dog. Donovan G. Hollingsworth, 27, of Evesham, was convicted by a jury in August 2023 in the fatal stabbings of the friend and his pup that occurred during a robbery, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said. The jury returned guilty verdicts for murder, robbery, weapons offenses and cruelty to animals.
