Amsterdam (dpa) Former Netherlands footballer Quincy Promes, who has been convicted of smuggling cocaine in absentia by a Dutch court, is set to be extradited to his home country from Dubai, prosecutors have said. As several Dutch media reported on Wednesday, the 32-year-old Spartak Moscow forward was arrested in Dubai where his team were playing friendlies and holding a training camp. Promes, who was also found guilty of stabbing his cousin last year, has 50 Dutch caps. He was sentenced to six years in prison by a court in Amsterdam in mid-February over drug smuggling.
