Rival fan groups of the traditional Greek club Panathinaikos got involved in a mass brawl outside of the club’s stadium in Athens on Saturday and one person was shot. According to Greek radio ERT, at least two other people were injured. Police sources told dpa that more than 70 fans were taken into custody. It was initially unclear what caused the altercation, but reportedly only Panathinaikos fans were involved. Panathinaikos hosted AEK Larnaca on Saturday for a pre-season match.
