Motorists travelling along the M2 have been warned to take extra care because of smoke billowing across the motorway. A straw fire has broken out this evening in a field in Wrens Road in Bredgar, Sittingbourne. People are being advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the smoke which is clearly visible across the carriageway between Junctions 5 and 6.
