There were explosions at several gas pipelines in central and southern Iran overnight, state media reported early on Wednesday. According to officials in the southern province of Fars, the evidence pointed to sabotage as the cause of the explosion there. There was also an explosion at an important gas pipeline in the province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, around 400 kilometres south of the capital Tehran, the state news agency IRNA reported.
