While you can get a cheap beer in some parts of the UK, in pricier areas it could cost you over £4. A study by Alt Index found eight places in the UK where the most popular beer, Carling, is the cheapest, at just £2.63. This includes spots in Scotland like East Lothian, Inverclyde, and Stirling and Falkirk. The only place in England with such a bargain pint was Rutland.
