The head of Maidstone United’s disability section took centre stage at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. Lorraine Humm carried the Community Shield on to the pitch before Manchester City faced Manchester United in the traditional season curtain-raiser. She was selected after winning the FA’s National Grassroots Keeping Football Positive Award for her tireless work as a volunteer with Maidstone United Raiders.
