One of the most moving and also unsettling voices of the 90s is back. Portishead singer and songwriter Beth Gibbons is set to release her first solo album on May 17. The 59-year-old West Country Brit has billed “Lives Outgrown” as a retrospective of her life with all its ups and downs. It is an audibly grounded album of 10 songs, which Gibbons needed a whole decade to write.
