Tropical Storm Ernesto is gaining strength and organization as it moves through the Caribbean. The storm’s center passed near Guadeloupe and Montserrat this morning and is currently south of St. Kitts and Nevis. Ernesto is showing signs of developing an inner core, and maximum winds have increased to 45 knots. It is expected to become a hurricane within 24 hours, possibly even sooner.
