The Conservative Party has pledged to stop an unwanted incinerator from coming to town. James Wild, the Conservative Party candidate for North West Norfolk, has welcomed the Tories’ manifesto pledge to stop new waste incinerators being built. Plans for a new incinerator at Wisbech were recently approved – but the pledge is to revoke permits where substantial construction has not yet taken place.
