A scouting group in West Norfolk celebrated its long history at the weekend as it marked its 105th anniversary. It was an entire village celebration as the First Docking (Hare’s Own) Scout Group marked the momentous occasion. A barbecue was hosted by the village hall committee on Saturday to celebrate and there were activities for people young and old. It is believed that the Scout group was set up in 1919, first as a Cubs, for children aged eight to 10 and a half years and Scouts, who are 10 and a half to 14 and a half years old.
