A pedestrian was killed Thursday evening after being struck by a car that fled the scene in Bergen County, authorities said. The deadly hit-and-run crash happened at 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Madison Avenue in Dumont, according to a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
