A heavily armed sect-like association has been broken up in western Spain as allegations of organized crime, fraud, coercion and causing injury are investigated, the country’s Guardia Civil police force reported on Tuesday. The report said that three people had been detained and a further eight were under investigation as the probe continues into the association which was based in Cáceres Province on the border with Portugal.
