iQOO has finally confirmed the launch date of the Neo 9S Pro, its upcoming flagship smartphone. This model has been recently spotted in leaks and teasers, and now, finally, its release date in China has been revealed. The launch date is set for next week, and we also have more details on its key specifications. So, here are all the details.
The Chinese brand’s Neo 9S Pro smartphone will be launched on the Chinese market on May 20, 2024. In the official teaser, the company confirmed that the high-end device will be equipped with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC. This is a flagship chipset. Looking at the design, it seems almost identical to the Neo 9 Pro. However, the Neo 9S Pro comes in new white and green colors. The latter can be seen with a textured back panel.
Based on what we know at the moment, the Neo 9S Pro has a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, HDR10+ support, and many other features. Dimensity 9300+ has up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. It runs on Android 14 based on the custom OriginOS 4.0 shell. On the back, there is a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Meanwhile, the front panel has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
A large 5,160 mAh battery powers this device, which supports 120W wired fast charging. Other features include an infrared sensor, NFC, a fingerprint scanner on the display, and a linear X-axis vibration motor for a tactile experience. The brand also announced the iQOO x NBA gift box, which will be presented at the presentation. We can see a custom back cover for the phone, a power strip, and a bottle. All of these are placed in a special custom box.
