Parts of a Berlin Euro 2024 fan zone were closed for a while on Friday in connection with a suspicious backpack. Police said the incident occurred at the fan zone at the German parliament, the Reichstag, with its suspected owner detained and checked. The area close to the suspicious object was cleared and cordoned off as the backpack was investigated. Police said nothing was found and the area to be opened for fans again.
