Part of the A249 has been shut due to a fuel spillage, causing long delays for drivers. The busy route is closed southbound after a lorry ruptured its fuel tank near Pilgrims Way at the junction with Detling, near Maidstone. The accident happened between the A2500 and junction 5 of the M2. Police are in attendance and there are currently delays of 50 minutes against expected traffic. Listen to kmfm for travel updates.
