A second attempt to auction the family house of Myanmar’s former leader Aung San Suu Kyi has failed, an eyewitness told dpa in Yangon. “There were some lawyers and journalists in front of the house but no one came to buy” the property, the witness said. Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, was ousted in a military coup in February 2021 and has been in prison since 2022. She previously lived in the lakeside villa where she was under house arrest for 15 years.
