Luke Dunham claimed a bronze medal in the boys’ 3,000m at the 93rd English Schools’ Track and Field Championships. The Year 11 Bishop’s Stortford High School student, who will get his GCSE results later this summer, came third in the final with a time of 8min 33.72sec at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium. Norfolk’s Michael Clark took gold in 8.31.95 while Somerset’s Tom Webb earned silver in 8.32.46. Dunham, who is a member of Ware-based Herts Phoenix AC, reached the final by clocking 8.45.33 in the second of two heats to qualify as a fastest loser.
