Motorola‘s Edge series is expected to soon be replenished with a new member, the Edge 50 Neo. Although the phone hasn’t been officially announced yet, a premature appearance in an Italian store has shed light on its price and color scheme.
Expert Paras Guglani found that the Edge 50 Neo is available in two memory configurations: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage. The base model costs 425.90 euros (approximately $465), while the top-of-the-line variant costs 496.91 euros (approximately $542).
The listing also includes two color options – milk (presumably white) and navy blue. An earlier report this week hinted at two additional color options – gray and pointillist – bringing the total number of options to four. There’s also speculation that some of these colors could be Pantone certified, which is a recurring theme with Motorola devices these days.
While the color options seem to be confirmed, details regarding the phone’s design and specs remain a top secret. There are no images available yet, and the leak doesn’t give any hints about its hardware.
However, given that it’s a successor, it’s reasonable to expect the Edge 50 Neo to share some specs with its predecessor, the Edge 40 Neo.
Motorola Edge 40 Neo specifications
In comparison, the Edge 40 Neo featured a 6.55-inch POLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. It was powered by a mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processor and offered up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is in line with the leaked storage options for the Edge 50 Neo.
In terms of software, the Edge 40 Neo runs Android 13 with a guarantee of two more Android version updates. The rear camera consists of a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera has a 32-megapixel lens.
The battery is powered by a 5500 mAh cell with 68W charging support, and Edge 40 Neo is IP68-rated for dust and water protection.
