A majority of people polled in Germany do not approve of the German Cup being renamed in honour of the late Franz Beckenbauer. In a survey by YouGov, around 44% rejected the idea while around 29% supported the proposal and a further 29% did not say. The company polled 12,383 people over 18 in Germany between Friday and Sunday.
