Prabowo Subianto, a former general and the current defence minister, has won Indonesia’s presidential election by a wide margin, preliminary official figures showed Thursday. Prabowo received 56% of the vote, based on 40% of the ballots counted after Wednesday’s presidential and legislative elections, according to the General Elections Commission.
