A town centre road has been closed following reports of a pedestrian being hit in an accident. King Street in Maidstone has been shut in both directions while emergency services are at the scene. The accident is believed to have taken place between Church Street and Queen Anne Road. Access to King Street is blocked and there is slow traffic from Wyke Manor Road to A249 Andrew Broughton Way. Bus company Arriva has warned it is unable to pick passengers up in the High street and they should go to the Chequers bus station instead. More as we have it.
