More than 20 firefighters are tackling a blaze in a field. The fire broke out off Badsell Road in Five Oak Green, near Paddock Wood at around 11.51am. Smoke could be seen billowing over the tree line as passersby watched the flames. At 12.16pm, the fire service posted on X: “We’re aware of a fire near Badsell Road, #PaddockWood. “Thank you to everyone who’s called 999 to report it to us.” Five fire engines and a bulk water carrier have been sent. The situation is ongoing and no cause has yet been confirmed.
