The British Museum in London will present previously stolen objects in a new exhibition on Thursday. The stolen items that will be on display are 10 precious stones. The “Rediscovering Gems” exhibit will be placed with similar ancient Greek and Roman artefacts from the collection that were once used to seal documents and for decoration. The stolen items scandal came to light in mid-2023. At the time, the museum announced that around 2,000 artefacts were missing, stolen or damaged.
