A new artificial playing field will soon be introduced at a town football club after planning approval was secured. AFC Sudbury received formal permission from Babergh District Council last week to replace an existing grass pitch at Brundon Lane with a new 3G surface. The full-size pitch will be surrounded by 15-metre-high floodlights and 4.5-metre fencing, plus a hard-standing area.
