Huawei has introduced its latest smartwatch, the Watch Fit 3, in China. The watch has a sleek design, a bright display, and a number of health and fitness features. The watch went on sale worldwide earlier this month. Here’s a look at its key features.
Specifications of Huawei Watch Fit 3:
The Watch Fit 3 features a 1.82-inch rounded rectangular AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1500 nits, a PPI of 347, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The display has a sleek design with a screen-to-body ratio of 77.4%. The watch itself has a square case made of premium aluminum alloy with rounded edges and a slim profile of just 9.9 mm. Without the strap, it weighs only 26 grams, making it comfortable for long periods of wear.
The Watch Fit 3 is equipped with Huawei’s TruSeen 5.5 heart rate monitoring system, which promises accurate heart rate tracking even during exercise. It also offers blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) measurement. The speed of blood oxygen detection has been improved, and the PPG sensor can promptly notify users of potential risks associated with atrial fibrillation and premature heartbeat.
The watch has a sleep monitoring function using Huawei’s TruSleep technology, which tracks sleep stages and quality. It also provides information on respiratory health and offers personalized sleep hygiene tips.
For fitness enthusiasts, the Watch Fit 3 offers more than 100 workout modes, including the new Track Run mode, which uses the built-in GPS to accurately track your route and lap distance. It also features automatic exercise detection for six types of workouts and wrist-based fitness courses with animated instructions for various exercises.
The Watch Fit 3 offers Bluetooth calling, independent music playback, and real-time reminders for daily tasks. It also features a remote shutter function to control smartphone cameras and is 5 ATM water resistant, making it suitable for a variety of weather conditions.
The smartwatch is equipped with an Always-On Display (AOD). It promises up to 10 days of battery life under certain conditions, such as limited Bluetooth calls and music playback. With AOD enabled, the battery life is reduced to 4 days. The watch also supports fast charging, offering a full day of battery life with just 10 minutes of charging.
Price and availability
The Huawei Watch Fit 3 is available in six colors and is currently available for purchase in China. Pricing starts at 999 yuan (approximately USD 138) for the fluororubber and nylon strap version, while the genuine leather strap version costs 1199 yuan (approximately USD 166).
The pre-sale of the Watch Fit 3 started today at 16:08, and the official sale is scheduled for 10:00 on May 20.
