Who’d be a politician? There have been a litany of events that would put even the most hard hearted of people off the job.. In the UK we’ve had the murder of Jo Cox. She served as Member of Parliament for Batley and Spen from May 2015 until she was murdered in June 2016. She was a member of the Labour Party. And more recently the murder of Sir David Amess in 2021 he was the conservative MP for Southend West..
