Pride parades were held in several eastern German cities on Saturday, with many accompanied by police amid counter-demonstrations by far-right groups and fears of further disruption. Parades were held in Wismar, Frankfurt an der Oder, Halle and Eisenach, and as in the past, some far-right groups staged protests at the same time. In Wismar, there were loud verbal altercations, while in the other cities, the celebrations were largely trouble-free.
