A German regional lawmaker was struck by a motorist and slightly injured on Monday while observing a street protest by the radical climate activist group Last Generation in the city of Halle. Sebastian Striegel, a member of state parliament from the Green Party in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt, was injured along with a journalist when a motorist drove onto a footpath to get around the blockade.
