Michigan State received yet another 2025 commitment when landing wide receiver Charles Taplin of Red Oak (Texas) High School. Taplin announced his decision via social media on June 14. Michigan State wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins and offensive graduate assistant Cordale Grundy offered Taplin (6-2, 160) in May. He quickly set up an official visit to East Lansing for the weekend of June 7. He committed to the Spartans and shut down his recruitment following the visit.
