Respect is an overused word nowadays, it’s often bandied around in terms of people keen on asserting their ‘rights’ while neglecting their responsibilities. The dictionary definition of respect is “to have due regard for the feelings, wishes or rights of others” or to “have a deep admiration for someone or something”.
