Vandals have damaged telegraph poles and communication cables in a spate of 16 incidents across Canterbury. Police received reports of telecommunication cables being cut in nine locations across the district last weekend. Just days later officers found an additional seven telegraph poles had been damaged in three more areas. Police are now urging witnesses to come forward as they investigate the sequence of incidents.
