A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Wednesday evening in Mercer County, police said. The person was hit shortly before 6:40 p.m. on the Brunswick Pike in Lawrence Township by a car driven by a 39-year-old Ewing resident, the Lawrence Township Police Department said. The pedestrian, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. All lanes of the road in the area of the crash were closed as police investigated the scene, authorities said.
