A farmer from March has been sentenced by Peterborough Magistrates Court following an investigation by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards in relation to animal welfare offences. Jack Smith, 21, who farmed cattle and pigs on land at Mill Hill Farm down Mill Hill Lane in March, pleaded guilty, on Wednesday (April 10), to 16 offences contrary to the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and Welfare of Farmed Animals (England) Regulations 2007.
