Newark Rugby Club’s senior squad have started their training for the new season – under a new captain. The 1sts will be led in the upcoming campaign in Regional 2 Midlands North by the newly-appointed Olly Dodders. Dodders takes over from long-serving Will Britten, who stood down in May after a record six-year stint. Since joining from Keyworth two years ago, Olly has become a regular in the first team back row and has also represented Midlands U20s and recently captained Notts, Lincs and Derbys under-20s.
