Detectives have charged a man with the murder of pensioner Una Crown 11 years ago. David Newton, 69, has been charged with the 86-year-old’s murder which took place at her home on Magazine Close in Wisbech in 2013. Newton, also of Magazine Close, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court this morning. Mrs Crown’s body was discovered on Sunday, January 13 2013, she was stabbed numerous times and her body was set on fire.
