The 2024 College World Series got underway on Friday, June 14, as ACC foes North Carolina and Virginia squared off in the opening game in Omaha. It was the beginning of a 10-day stretch to crown a baseball national champion. All told, eight teams make it to Omaha for the College World Series, winnowed down from the 64 teams that make the tournament field.
