MILWAUKEE — Moments after Florida delegates to the Republican National Convention officially gave Donald Trump enough votes to become the GOP’s 2024 presidential nominee, the roll call continued with Kentucky offering up its votes. But as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell stood to declare Kentucky’s 46 delegate votes for Trump, other delegates throughout the Fiserv Forum — representing states from sea to shining sea — drowned him out with boos.
