Kentucky walked off NC State 5-4 in its first ever College World Series game Saturday afternoon to advance to the winner’s bracket. Quite the first impression for the Cats in Omaha. Kentucky held a 3-1 lead until the seventh inning, where NC State’s Alec Makarewicz tied the game with a two-run home run. After the Cats failed to respond, the Wolfpack scored a go-ahead run in the top of the ninth on a wild pitch.
