Ubisoft has announced the release date of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows – November 15, 2024. The game will be available on major platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Windows PCs, and Apple Silicon Macs.

The official PlayStation Weibo page has also released the game’s premiere trailer, which hints at an epic historical adventure set in Japan. Players will embody two different allies – a deadly ninja assassin and a powerful warrior – who will forge a common destiny. The game promises to combine action and stealth, allowing players to master different fighting styles, customize their ninja hideout, and influence the course of history.

Ubisoft promises a vast open world teeming with life. You will find a variety of landscapes that change with the seasons, from bustling port cities and quiet shrines to sprawling castle towns and picturesque countryside. The game reportedly uses the updated Anvil Pipeline engine, which improves animation, parkour system, and dynamic weather effects. The engine is also rumored to support advanced visual features such as ray tracing and global lighting.

In addition to stealth and combat, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows offers elements of base building. Players can build their own hideouts with arsenals for storing weapons, dojos for honing combat skills, churches (the function is unclear), and other functional buildings.
