Bayern Munich defender Sacha Boey will be out of action “for several weeks” due to a meniscus tear in his left knee, the Bundesliga club said on Monday. Boey suffered the injury during training on Sunday and has already undergone “a successful operation,” Bayern said. The defender was in the Bayern’s starting line-up in two of three Bundesliga matches this season, including Saturday’s 6-1 thrashing of promoted Holstein Kiel. Bayern start their Champions League campaign against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday and travel to Werder Bremen on Saturday.
