An Iraqi official said on Monday that they had removed the remains of more than of 100 people from a large pit believed to contain victims killed by the Islamic State when they ruled the area. Ahmed Qusay, head of the excavation team in the Bir Alou Antar area, told dpa that the team had been working since late May to complete the opening of a mass grave and identify the remains.
