The amount of time people in Germany spend reading has declined by five minutes per day over the past decade, according to a new government report released on Tuesday. The most recent data from 2022 found that Germans spent an average of 27 minutes a day reading printed or digital media such as books or newspapers, according to Germany’s Federal Statistical Office.
