By Ryan Fahey Health trusts across England have huge variations in the amount of time patients have to wait for treatment. The latest data from the NHS revealed that the national waiting list was 7.58 million people long in January. Just under 43.0% of the people on the waiting list had been on there longer than the target of 18 weeks, with the average time being 15 weeks. A total of 18 hospital trusts had waiting lists where at least half of people had been on there for over 18 weeks.
