Last month, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip in China. The latter debuted as the company’s first phone with a foldable screen. There are reports that Mix Fold 4 may remain a Chinese market exclusive, while Mix Flip will be released globally. Ahead of the expected launch, whistleblower Sudhanshu Ambhor spotted a FAQ page about the global version of the Xiaomi Mix Flip. The aforementioned page reveals key information about the device before its global launch.
Xiaomi Mix Flip: RAM, storage, color options (global version)
Xiaomi Mix Flip’s FAQ page reveals that its global version will be available in 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5x RAM variants. It will also be available with UFS 4.0 storage options such as 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. These memory options will offer 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB UFS (virtual random access memory) extensions.
The FAQ page also mentions that the black, white, and purple versions of the global Mix Flip variant will feature Panda-X glass. There will also be a special Xiaomi Nylon Fiber edition equipped with a fiberglass backing and a nylon outer layer.
The appearance of the FAQ indicates that the Mix Flip will soon hit the market. It seems that the device will be officially presented either this month or in September.
Xiaomi Mix Flip specifications
Xiaomi Mix Flip has a 6.86-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1224 x 2912 pixels. It has a 4-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1392 x 1208 pixels on the outside. Both screens support refresh rates of up to 120 Hz. The device is equipped with an aluminum frame and stainless steel hinge.
The front panel has a 32-megapixel OmniVision camera. The rear panel has a dual camera: A 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX8000 main camera from Leica and a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The phone runs on Android 14 and HyperOS UI.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mix Flip has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 4,780 mAh battery with a 67W fast charging function. For security, it has a fingerprint scanner on the side panel. No word on the price of the global version of the device. In China, it is available at a starting price of 5,999 yuan (~$836).
