Two goalkeepers got their chance to impress when Bishop’s Stortford began their pre-season schedule with a 1-0 friendly defeat at Canvey Island on Saturday (July 13). Jayden Peglar, who has just been released by Colchester United, played in the first half while James Askew, who was at Stowmarket Town last term, featured in the second period.
