Buses were stopped after the window of one vehicle was smashed by youngsters hurling stones. Stagecoach services in Canterbury were halted following the incident in Thanington, on the city’s outskirts. It was reported “kids” had been throwing stones, with one of the missiles smashing a bus window. Stagecoach said routes between Canterbury and Chilham were stopped while a replacement bus was sought.
